Dog-Friendly espresso martini Spots

There are cocktails, and then there’s the Espresso Martini.

Coffee, vodka and that silky layer of foam make it a firm favourite for a night out. And, thankfully, enjoying one doesn’t always mean leaving your dog at home.

Liverpool has plenty of brilliant dog-friendly bars, from city-centre institutions to neighbourhood favourites. So, we’ve picked five spots where you can combine good company with a caffeine-fuelled cocktail.

Few places feel quite as Liverpool as Café Tabac.

This Bold Street institution has been around since 1974. In fact, it describes itself as Liverpool’s longest-running café bar. Its bohemian roots remain a big part of its personality today.

By day, it’s somewhere for coffee, breakfast and people-watching. Then, as evening arrives, the lights go down and the cocktails come out. Their drinks menu includes an Espresso Martini, making this a natural choice for our list.

It’s got character in abundance, so it suits anyone who likes their cocktails without too much ceremony.

For something more neighbourhood-focused, Cressington Wine Bar offers a change of pace.

This is the sort of place for settling in rather than rushing off. So, grab your dog, order an Espresso Martini and enjoy a slower evening together.

It’s also a handy option when you fancy cocktails without heading straight into Liverpool city centre. Sometimes a local drink with your dog snoozing nearby is exactly what you need.

Spanish Caravan brings a little Spanish-inspired energy to a Liverpool night out.

The atmosphere is casual and lively, with drinks, food and live entertainment all forming part of the experience. There’s outdoor seating too, which can be particularly lovely when Liverpool gives us some sunshine. Dogs are also listed as welcome.

An Espresso Martini might not be the most traditionally Spanish order. But sometimes you know exactly what you fancy, and we fully support that.

Come for a cocktail, stay for the atmosphere, and bring your dog along for the socialising.

Fancy combining cocktails with a waterfront wander?

The One O’Clock Gun sits on the inner quayside at Royal Albert Dock. It offers pub food, local beers, wines and cocktails in a relaxed dockside setting.

More importantly for us, dogs are welcome throughout the venue. So, it makes an easy stop during a wander around Liverpool’s waterfront.

Its drinks list has also featured the classic Espresso Martini.

There’s something particularly satisfying about finishing a waterfront walk before finding a cosy table and ordering a cocktail.

If you’re staying in the city centre, MiTo Bar on Castle Street is a great spot to add to your cocktail plans.

It has that polished cocktail-bar feel, but without making things feel overly formal. So, it works nicely for an Espresso Martini after dinner, during a city-centre wander, or simply because you fancy one.

And the Espresso Martini certainly looks the part. Rich, dark coffee sits underneath that signature creamy foam, making it a proper treat for coffee and cocktail lovers.

Being on Castle Street also puts you right in the middle of Liverpool. So, you can easily build it into a dog-friendly day or evening exploring the city centre.

Bring your dog, find yourself a table and settle in with one of the best cocktail and coffee combinations going.

Espresso Martinis Taste Better With Your Dog Nearby

There’s no need to choose between cocktail plans and spending time with your dog.

These five spots each bring something different. You’ve got Bold Street buzz, neighbourhood drinks, waterfront stops and city-centre cocktails.

And really, that’s what dog-friendly Liverpool is all about. Your dog gets to stay part of the plan, while you enjoy more of the city together.

Cocktail menus and dog policies can change. So, always check each venue’s official channels before visiting, particularly if you’re making a special trip.
